Salvation depends upon correctly understanding and learning the wonderful message of salvation contained in God's word. For as we read: "He that believes and is baptised shall be saved" Mark 16:16
The only way to learn God's word is to know the scriptures. God's word provides the spiritual food we need. If we eat only a small amount of our daily food we soon become malnourished, so also with the word of God. If we read little we grow little. To help Bible students to grow in the knowledge of God's word the following tables are offered as a guide to methodical reading of the Bible.
An indiscriminate reading of the scriptures is unprofitable, and can soon cease to be interesting, and reading solidly from Genesis to Revelation can be very hard to do. The method of reading a little each day from various parts of the Bible has been found by many to be practical, attractive, and enlightening.
These tables are therefore arranged to provide three daily readings and should take around 15-20 minutes each day. A small amount of time to spend reading, but offering a great amount of reward spiritually. By following these tables the Old Testament will be read once in a year and the New Testament twice.
May the Lord bless all who study his word sincerely.
